It is never enough time. The ICP-MS was down and ASU’s crippling bureaucracy keeps getting in the way of attaining my Jar Test results and characterization spectra. It turns out that the one-time in-person lab safety training is really not just taken once. My mentor was locked out of all keycard access to all instrumentation until she retook the lab safety training. I am finally able to gather some data for my poster but much of it is still being analyzed and composed into an easy to read format.
Besides the struggles in getting data, we finally got our first monsoon storms! Now, I don’t have photos of the storm themselves but I do have photos taken earlier in the day of the storms coming in from the horizon.
Also, here’s one from today of a few storms north of the city.
