Hello there, Juan again! What a fantastic second week!
For the last week, Dr. Chavez, the social work team, and I have been working on an article and presentation for a potential UTEP class. It has been exciting and full of learning!
However, last Friday’s meeting with the team was full of knowledge as we discussed how to provide drinking water from the Hueco Tanks’ water tanks. We discussed several potential ways, such as having a mesh-like filter that would be used when the water enters the tank so that it could remove any sediments, rocks, sand, and others.
Overall, as these weeks pass by, I am excited to continue learning from the engineers and Dr. Loyo to find a potential holistic solution to the water quality in Hueco Tanks since this is necessary to survive.
Also, fun but great to see a post dedicated to our team member Lisette commemorating her birthday! What a nice thoughtful detail!
Thank you all!
Glad you are learning a lot, Juan, me too!
