First day
O my where do I begin, there is just so much. The equipment, the glass, the possibilities, the work being performed by all the students, programming automation systems, increasing optimization output, logs, logs, and logs. This experience not only feels real but important, extremely interesting, and an environment that feels like I could thrive in knowledge. Its intense but great. I appreciate the ability for my mentor to see the areas in hydro science that I am interested in and his wanting to introduce me to all the labs in the college campus that are involved in one way shape and form with environmental science and hydro science. They have an extreme appreciation of studying and learning about what you have a passion for. The students there where very collaborative and worked really well with one another and even though they had all been there for various lengths of time they were still so keen on asking questions if there was even a possibility of doubt. They truly learned together. I got to understand my mentor’s task in NEWT. Seye my mentor explained to me where he fits in this project, currently he is trying to create a system for automation for the MCDI that will send an analog signal (in the end) to automatically run the system that will not only flow the water through the MCDI apparatus but measure and monitor the Ph level and conductivity output of the deionized water. I hope i can better explain it as i start to understand this project a little bit better.
