Going in to the lab setting I was really nervous, this is my first time doing research and I was worried about being under prepared and not being helpful to my mentor. It turned out to be the opposite of that, he was very patient and walked me through the basic concepts that I need to understand for the experiments we’ll be conducting. By the end of the week I was setting up and monitoring the experiment all on my own. I’m excited to continue working in the lab
