Today, in between the current rounds of desalination experiments we’ve been doing, we’re preparing for another of the 6 hour long fracking water treatment trials. This time we’ll be using a different kind of membrane. These experiments are especially important to get done since the membranes were provided by the company that developed them. They are very interested in treating fracking water and are going to use our data in the marketing for the membranes. These new membranes are extremely thin and feel like tissue paper, so we need to very very careful with them when we set up the experiment. Tomorrow we’ll start the experiment in the morning and then prepare the samples for the lab to analyze.
