This was my first week at Rice University as a member of the NEWT REU program. When I first started out this week, I was very nervous about what my project even was and if I would be able to succeed at this REU. That unease completely went away when I was able to meet my mentor Rawand Rasheed. He explained my project in an easy-to-understand manner.
My project for this summer is to develop testing apparatuses to test the previously designed Multiplexed Inertial Filter. To determine, how well the filter performs at filtering out particles such as lunar dust and how well the filter performs while saturated.
