This week, as we completed our abstract rough drafts, Dr. Deemer and I were fortunate enough to have Jorge visit the Hickerson Water Treatment Plant with us. We showed him around and explained the system that is running here. We have two trailers, one with a UF Filtrate system that treats the raw water from the actual plant and the second trailer with a Reverse Osmosis system, RO, that further treats the water from the first trailer. Both Jorge and I were able to connect this experience with the one from the Kay Bailey Hutchison Desalination Plant as we were able to better understand the RO present there and here.
