Week 5 with NEWT!

I made it through the halfway mark of the NEWT REU! I am continuing my work of collecting data on the Multiplexed Inertial Coalescence Filter. I was able to complete my first data set on the capture efficiency of the small pore helix design of the filters. While it does not look like much on paper, I put a lot of work into the sixty-five experiments that it consists of, and I am very proud of the results.

Small Pore Filter Data

I have also designed, and 3D printed a feed screw and a funnel stand for the setup of my next set u of experiments. I am looking forward to the coming weeks to see what new data I can find!

  1. Thank you for sharing, John! Isn’t it crazy how much work goes into a single figure? I look forward to your presentation so you can tell us more about your results.
