Hello! My name is Anabel Theriault, I am a Social Work student at UTEP. For week 2 we have begun to really think about the best solution for the residents in the Hueco Tanks Colonia. Rice Engineering students and UTEP engineering students have been hard at work trying to determine the best way to help the residents who will not have piped water in the foreseeable future. As social work students, my team and I have to remember that our job is to advocate for the residents in the Colonias. We had a zoom meeting with our team members in Rice and UTEP engineering and Dr. Loyo gave Lizette a shot out for her birthday!
We also joined a zoom call with Dr. Westerhoff, where he explained how to create value in your research, overall it was very informative and Naomi did great sharing about our key insights.
Working at 100% and excited to see our project move along.
